The Family Connection Demonstration Project is a collaboration of the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS), Catholic Family & Child Service, Casey Family Programs, Area Agency on Aging  and the Yakama Nation to improve the lives of children in state care in Benton, Franklin, and Yakima Counties.  The Family Connection Demonstration Project is one of twenty four federally funded projects nationwide and the only one in Washington State.

The project's three distinct practices, including: Family Team Decision-Making (FTDM), Family Search & Engagement (FSE) and Kinship Navigator (KN) are contributing to improved permanency outcomes for children.
